My husband’s first big mountaineering trip after becoming a father was to Mt. Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies. While it made me nervous, I was excited to see him tackle the climb and see whether his perspective on risk had changed now that he had a little girl to come home to.
Would he discover he no longer wanted to climb? Have I felt the desire to take the same risks as before I became a mother?
